What is Full Spectrum CBD Oil

What kinds of CBD are there?

There are 3 basic categories of CBD. They are all processed from a raw cannabis extract.

  • Full Spectrum.
  • Broad Spectrum.
  • CBD Isolate.

Full Spectrum is an oil that contains the greatest variety of the compounds found naturally in the Hemp plant. Present are over 400 different constituents including Cannabinoids, Terpenoids, Alkaloids, Flavonoids and other beneficial constituents, all of which have their own different benefits and also add to the synergy between them all, known as the Entourage effect, where the result is more than the sum of the parts.

By definition they also contain small quantities of the psychoactive cannabinoid THC, but the trace levels present in EU certified Hemp (less than 0.2mg) are far too low to get high and fully legal in the UK.

How does THC help the Entourage Effect?

However, THC certainly adds to the Entourage Effect and even at trace amounts has its own input. Broad Spectrum is similar to Full Spectrum, but more processed and the benefit of the trace THC element removed.

CBD Isolate on the other hand is completely different and highly processed to remove all other components, leaving just 99%+ CBD. A crystalline powder.
There will be no benefit from the Entourage Effect and lacking the other constituents will lose all their individual benefits as well.

What is isolate of CBD?

Isolate is harder to dose and deemed at least 5 X less effective.
However, for clinical research, having an exact single molecule is often easier to work with.

For us at Golden Goose Full Spectrum is the product of choice.
